Voetstoots Sale Terms
All items are sold voetstoots (as is).
Vintage Club takes no responsibility for any damage incurred during shipping by third-party couriers. While we take the utmost care in packaging, liability for transit-related damage rests with the shipping provider.

Condition & Expectations
The majority of our collection consists of genuine period pieces, which inherently bear signs of age, wear, and previous use. As such, all items are sold voetstoots. We encourage customers to inspect items in person before purchasing.
We strive to provide accurate descriptions and detailed imagery of each piece. If you require additional photos, videos, or a virtual viewing via FaceTime, please contact us before finalizing your purchase. While we do our best to disclose any notable imperfections, some signs of age, wear, prior repairs, or other condition-related factors may not always be evident in photographs. Buyers acknowledge that minor imperfections are expected when purchasing vintage furniture.

Returns & Refunds
Vintage Club adheres to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA). However, we do not accommodate returns under the "general right of return" for second-hand goods, as outlined in these regulations.
Returns are accepted only for refurbished furniture under the following conditions:

The return request must be initiated within 7 calendar days of purchase (not delivery or collection).

The item must be returned to our warehouse in the same condition as received—unused and in its original packaging.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returned items.

Shipping fees are non-refundable, and the cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Exclusions:

All sales are final for non-refurbished or "as-is" items.

No returns, exchanges, or store credit will be provided after 7 days from the purchase date.

Items sold at a discounted price or on sale are strictly non-returnable.

If a returned item has been used, damaged, or compromised while in the customer's possession or during return transit, restoration fees will be charged. These fees are calculated based on the time required for restoration and the cost of materials necessary to return the item to its original shipped condition.

Return Process
To initiate a return, please contact us at vintageclubhq@gmail.com. If the return is approved, refunds will be processed via the original payment method. If a refund via our payment gateway is not possible, an EFT refund can be arranged.
We value customer satisfaction and appreciate your understanding of our return policy, which is designed to ensure a fair and transparent purchasing experience for all.

SHIPPING POLICY

Cape Town Deliveries
We offer furniture delivery services within Cape Town.
For larger items, we partner with an external courier service. Deliveries are made by appointment, and we strive to provide a 2-hour time window on the scheduled date.

Packaging Options

Standard Packaging: Complimentary bubble wrap layer for all local deliveries.

Enhanced Packaging: For added protection, we offer a comprehensive packaging solution, including multiple layers of bubble wrap, cardboard, foam (as needed), and pallet wrap. This service is available at an additional cost of R200–R400 per item, depending on the item's size. To arrange, please contact us at vintageclubhq@gmail.com.

Delivery Assistance
Most delivery personnel operate alone, so you may need to assist with bringing the item inside. If assistance is required, such as a two-person delivery or help carrying items upstairs, please notify us in advance—additional charges may apply.
Nationwide Shipping (Outside Cape Town)

Customers are responsible for arranging their own transport outside Cape Town.

We are happy to provide shipping recommendations and obtain courier quotes on your behalf.

Once an item is handed over to a courier, scheduling and communication must be managed directly between the buyer and the shipping provider. We will assist where possible but cannot guarantee courier responsiveness.

Packaging & Fragile Items

All items shipped outside Cape Town receive extensive wrapping, with packaging fees starting from R250 per item, depending on size.

For fragile items such as glass or mirrors, we strongly recommend professional crating.

We do not recommend shipping particularly delicate pieces outside Cape Town.
Collection & Storage

Local pickup is welcome from our warehouse in Lekkerwater Industrial Park, 26 Lekkerwater Road, Sunnydale, Cape Town.

Purchased items must be collected within 7 days of purchase.

Exceptions can be made for returning customers—please email vintageclubhq@gmail.com to arrange.

Storage Fees

We offer 7 days of free storage for fully paid items.

After 7 days, a storage fee of R500 per week, per item applies.

Storage fees must be paid in full before collection or delivery.

Failure to settle storage fees within 7 days of the due date will result in the item being considered abandoned and re-listed for sale.
Liability & Insurance

Once an item leaves our premises, Vintage Club is not responsible for any damage, loss, or other shipping-related issues.

Third-party couriers are independent contractors and are not employees of Vintage Club.

Customers are free to use their own shipping provider rather than our recommended couriers.

The buyer is responsible for insuring their purchase during transport.

In the unfortunate event of damage during transit, please contact the shipping provider directly to file a claim or request a partial refund of your shipping fees.
