Original Vintage Mid-century Danish teak high writing bureau/secretaire bookcase from Korinth Møbelfabrik in Denmark, 1960’s, attributed to Harold Nielsen.
This exquisite model features a blend of hidden and open storage, including a pull-out desk, drawers, compartments, and cupboards with sliding doors. The upper cabinet has sliding doors with integrated round handles, enclosing a detachable shelf on the left and open storage on the right. Below, there is an open shelf with three cubby holes, followed by a slide-out writing surface, and a pair of drawers with distinctive handles and locks (though no key). Further down, you'll find two sliding drawers with integrated round handles, enclosing another detachable shelf. The piece stands on four tapering cylindrical legs.
It showcases impeccable craftsmanship, featuring beautiful teak grain, and inviting warm tones. This versatile Danish high bureau desk/bookcase offers a multitude of functional uses, making it an exceptionally practical piece for any space. It is a testament to the enduring appeal of Danish mid-century design and would make an elegant addition to any interior.
According to online resources, Korinth Møbelfabrik, a furniture workshop was founded by Harald Nielsen in 1925 in Korinth, a small town on the island of Fyn, Denmark.
This exquisite piece was manufactured in the 1950’s-1960s and most likely designed by Harold Nielsen.

Condition: Remarkably well-preserved given its age, displaying only subtle indications of wear — please refer to the photos for a closer look. It has undergone a careful restoration and refinishing process using high-quality materials, where needed.
