Solid Wood polished Old Colonial Antique colour, wax finish was sanded down to reveal its natural colour and grain. The framing is of beech and the seat solid elm. It has the characteristic Windsor back, with a fleur-de-lis motif with specially designed skids to prevent tipping over backwards. Maker Mark still intact.

The rocking chair is in very good fully refurbished condition. It is free of any damage or repairs. The chair is sturdy with no loose joints or spindles and no separation to the elm seat.

History:
Ercol furniture was designed by Ercol’s founder, Lucian Ercolani, who drew for his inspiration on the time proven local design and craft in the Chiltern Hills around where he lived and built his first factory in 1920 in High Wycombe.
