Rare mid-century Vintage oak and teak desk from 'Oakwoods (Pty) Ltd’, South Africa.
The desk features a rectangular surface with a gracefully curved upstand. Below, there's a central kneehole bordered by two drawers, each adorned with an incised handle at the base. It stands on four slanting, tapering square-section legs and includes a lock, although the key is absent.
Dimensions: 78cm high, 130cm wide, 48cm deep
Condition: Remarkably well-preserved given its age, displaying only subtle indications of wear — please refer to the photos for a closer look. It has undergone a careful restoration and refinishing process using high-quality materials.
Like many Mid-Century pieces, it harmoniously combines sturdy solid wood with a top-grade wood veneer.
