Severin Hansen Jr. was a Danish furniture designer active during the mid-20th century, best known for his refined and architecturally precise designs. Working primarily in the 1950s and 1960s, Hansen collaborated with esteemed Danish manufacturers such as Haslev Møbelsnedkeri, producing a range of elegant tables and case pieces.

His work is characterised by clean geometric lines, impeccable craftsmanship, and his signature mitred joinery, which creates a seamless, sculptural effect. He often worked with luxurious hardwoods, including teak, rosewood, and mahogany, emphasizing natural grain and fine detailing.

Today, Hansen’s designs are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of Scandinavian modernism, valued for their timeless aesthetic and exceptional quality.

Like many Mid-Century pieces, it harmoniously combines sturdy solid wood with a top-grade wood veneer.
