Rare Mid-Century Myer's (UK) teak flip top storage, record or magazine storage, coffee table in a wonderful Danish Style, C1960's.
Top flips opening to divided storage on castors. The box lid is split in half with each sliding out and sitting flush down each end of the body, the two dividers can be adjusted. This minimalist design box can also be used as a coffee table.
Originally designed as a tea trolley by Myer's in the 1960s this rare storage box has a multitude of uses and can be used as a coffee table, drinks cabinet, record cabinet/box for your vinyl collection, or for storing files using standard filing cabinet inserts.
It has a wonderful grain on the teak veneer, the plastic-faced Formica underside to the top provides a spirit and heat-proof surface. Even the wood finish is exceptionally durable.
Great vintage condition with normal signs of use. There are some light veneer chips on some of the edges, hardly visible. It has been cleaned and oiled.

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer.
