A mid-century studio sofa/daybed in solid Oak and Elm, manufactured by Lubis (SA) in the 60’s, a perfect reproduction of the Ercol Studio Couch no.355. This delightful and practical four-seater settee is a great addition to any lounge, with the added convenience of easily converting into a cozy and comfortable single bed with a simple and swift adjustment. One of the most sought-after pieces of furniture from the Mid-Century era. The only difference is an extra middle tapered leg for stability. It features an attractive steam-bent frame consisting of tapered spindles and arched armrests. Made from Elm and Oak, the back rest is formed from a large board of Elm.
Condition Report: Excellent vintage condition. The wood has been restored and sealed. New cushion, with new high-density foam made up in a high-quality light blue stain-resistant FibreGuard fabric from Home Fabrics, which has Stain Free Technology, assuring it will be able to stand up to everyday stains and new webbing with metal webbing clips.
