Set of 6 Mid-Century imbuia dining chairs designed and manufactured by EE Meyer for Binnehuis
The design of the chairs are most likely based on the Danish-designed Model 49 dining chairs by Erik Buch, circa 1950’s. They are simple yet elegant, notable for the floating seats. Superbly crafted, sculpted dining chairs with padded backrests and seats. Featuring padded “floating” seats and backrests and solid imbuia frames creating a lovely contrast.
The rich solid imbuia frames are very sturdy and have exceptional stunning wood grain throughout. The elegant sculpted and formed details are what make them so desirable.
Condition Report: They remain in good vintage condition and are comfortable. They have been meticulously cleaned and polished. One chair has an old repair which we reinforced and neaten. Construction is sturdy and stable; the current 'pale pink' upholstery is still in good condition.
Chairs:
Height of seat 45cm
Height of back 75cm
Width 47cm
