Mid-century dining-room suite by Duros (SA)
A Mid-century Modern extendable dining table in Sapele Mahogany paired with six chairs by Duros, one of South Africa’s leading producers of modernist furniture.
The chairs feature bent ply backs finished in Sapele, complemented by solid wood frames. The table is extendable and features an elegant design with conical tapered legs. Its top smoothly slides apart, accommodating the addition of a folding butterfly leaf, expanding the seating capacity to accommodate from six to up to eight individuals.
The chairs and table are structurally very sound and sturdy. They have been gently restored & sealed and the set is in very good vintage condition. The chairs have been reupholstered, in a high-quality Hertex Fabric, featuring a Martindale rub count of over 50 000 and are easy to clean (washable).
