  • Mid-Century ‘Dane’ dining-room table in Mahogany by Frystark (SA). Part of their ‘Status’ Danish-inspired range, 1960’s. A highly sought-after set. Frystark furniture is renowned for its beautiful shape and high-quality manufacturing.

     

    An elegant dining table, it has a round shape that can extend to a six-seater oval table. The top slides apart to allow the addition of the folding butterfly leaf to seat 6.

    Condition

    The set is in very good original vintage condition.

    The wood has been meticulously cleaned and gently refinished.

     

    Frystark furniture has been manufactured in Port Elizabeth since 1948, but brothers Derick and Douglas Frye preferred to shop for veneers, oils and designs in Europe. In the 1960's they moved to Cape Town to join forces with the Starke furniture manufacturing company.
